Historia/History
Este grupo comenzó a reunirse en el verano del 2013 y más tarde se convirtió en Comunidad Cristiana Faro de Luz. Nuestro lema es "Alumbrando Las Vegas, Nevada, con la luz de Jesús". En nuestra iglesia asisten personas de origen mexicano, guatemalteco, salvadoreño, dominicano, cubano, puertoriqueño, y nicaraguenses. Y también estadounidenses. Toda nacionalidad es bienvenida.
This group started meeting in the summer 2013 and later on became Comunidad Cristiana Faro de Luz (Lighthouse Christian Community). Our slogan is "Lighting Las Vegas, Nevada, with the light of Jesus." This church has Mexicans, Guatemalans, Salvadoreans, Dominican Republic, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, and Nicaraguans. And we have those who were born here in the United States as well. All nationalities are welcome!

El pastor Fernando Argumedo es originario del pulgarcito de América El Salvador. En el año de 1986 se trasladó a los Estados Unidos y fue en ese lugar en donde Dios tocó su corazón para servirle entre el pueblo hispano.
A principios del año de 1990 ingresó al prestigioso Seminario Teoloógico Centro Americano (SETECA) en Guatemala, en donde realizó sus estudios de licenciatura y maestría. En esa institución conoció al amor de su vida y compañera de ministerio, Telma, quien es originaria del país de la eterna primavera, Guatemala y de donde ambos se graduaron. Los esposos Argumedo han servido juntos al Señor desde las década de los 90 y lo han hecho en diferentes escenarios tales como el área pastoral juvenil, consejería, como mentores, en el campo docente bíblico, en la administración y dirección de un campus educativo en Los Ángeles, y como plantadores de Iglesias entre otras cosas. Y lo más importante es que ambos sirven juntos con gozo a pesar de cada reto que aparezca.
En el año 2010, el pastor Argumedo terminó sus estudios doctorales del Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) con el único propósito de usar lo que Dios le ha dado para servir a la iglesia hispana en esta parte del continente y en otros países también donde ha sido invitado.
Ahora Dios ha abierto un nuevo reto a ellos al servir en la famosa ciudad de Las Vegas, Nevada que, como cualquier otra ciudad del mundo, necesita de Jesús. Ambos están asombrados de lo que Dios está haciendo y expectantes de lo que Dios continuará haciendo en esta parte estratégica del mundo al usar sus dones y habilidades para expander Su Reino.
Pastor Fernando Argumedo is originally from the tiniest country in Centra America, El Salvador. In 1986 he moved to the United States and it was at that place where God touched his heart to serve among the Hispanic population.
In the early 90s he enrolled at the prestigious Central American Theological Seminary (SETECA) in Guatemala, where he completed his undergraduate and graduate studies. In that institution he met the love of his life and ministry partner, Telma, who is a native of “the eternal spring country”, Guatemala where both graduated later on. The Argumedos have served the Lord together since the 90's and have done so in different settings such as youth ministry area, counseling, mentoring in biblical teaching field, in the administration and management of an educational campus in Los Angeles, and as church planters among other things. And most importantly is that both serve together with joy despite every challenge appears. IIn 2010, Pastor Argumedo finished his doctoral program through Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) with the only purpose to use what God has given him to serve the Hispanic Church in this part of the continent as well as other countries where he has been invited.
Now God has opened a new challenge for them to serve in the famous city of Las Vegas, Nevada, which, as any other city in the world, needs Jesus too. Both are amazed at what God is doing and expectant of what God will continue bringing in this strategic part of the world as He uses their gifts and abilities to expand His kingdom.
